The play was premiered by Compagnie Hussard de Minuit at Théâtre Interface, Sion, from March 2 to 11, 2018. Its subject? The epistolary letters sent to each other by a certain Vincent van Gogh and his brother Theo. Staged by Stéphane Albelda, the famous painter is played by Stéphane Liard. This visual show «so close to the starry night» will be performed again from June 5 to 17, 2018 in Lausanne.

La pièce s’ouvre sur les accords hendrixiens de Baptiste Mayoraz, jeune artiste sédunois qui n’a plus à faire ses preuves depuis ses compositions originales pour Le Cercle de Craie caucasien en 2014, puis Guillaume Tell en 2015 et Dracula en 2017. Des toiles de van Gogh sont projetées, mouvantes, sur quatre tableaux verticaux disposés sur le plateau.
