On January 26, Le Regard Libre organized an online meeting with French essayist Ghislain Benhessa, to discuss his latest book: Le totem de l'Etat de droit. Here's a report on a very rich discussion, with the video as a bonus.

In his essay, Ghislain Benhessa discusses what he sees as the overused and misused concept of the rule of law. At the meeting, the Strasbourg lawyer began by recalling that the notion was still unknown to the general public forty years ago: «Back then, a non-lawyer had never heard of the term.
