At the «Convention de la droite» on Saturday September 28, French polemicist Eric Zemmour made a speech that many considered racist and Islamophobic. Has he crossed the red line? Here's a point-by-point analysis, with no moralizing.

He's the most talked-about polemicist in France. And not for nothing: he wields his convictions like a weapon, without concession. For him, the West has been engaged in a long process of decadence, or rather suicide, since modern times. Zemmour is not a conservative: for him, that would mean preserving the nonsense of the contemporary world, from which he retains only the positive aspects of medical progress. Almost everything else is a source of concern for the journalist and essayist. First and foremost, immigration and Islamism, which he sees as the true face of Islam.
