Once, they were the emancipating free spirits. Today, they want to rule everything. A short history of the left's descent into hell, particularly in Germany, but also to some extent in Switzerland.

Of course, one could call for a ban on Airbnb. In the city of Lucerne, voters have even approved such a measure. And, of course, such initiatives generally come from the left. In Lucerne, for example, from the Socialist Party (SP).

Really? Not necessarily. The fact that people from all over the world can go on vacation at low cost thanks to Airbnb (even in an expensive city like Lucerne!), while others with limited means can rent out their apartments for a small fee—this could also be seen as an original and unifying social idea that brings people together.
