A new Patrick Bruel is born

A new Patrick Bruel is born

Patrick Bruel's «c'est ouf» (it's amazing!) and leaps into the air are almost reminiscent of Maître Gims. Worse still, his famous false modesty still sticks to him - that's the second downside.
Gringe: a festival closing of doubt and melancholy

Gringe: a festival closing of doubt and melancholy

Under the Détour tent, the stage is bare: just a mixing desk in the middle and rows of LEDs - not LSS - hanging vertically from the sides. I took advantage of the fireworks to get a seat just a few meters from the stage, but I've no idea that it's going to save me.
The reveries of the solitary paleologist

The reveries of the solitary paleologist

Paleontologists study the remains of living beings and their historical evolution. Why not do the same with the Paléo Festival? There are human remains in this mud. It's fertile ground for a little sociological analysis. Make way for paleology.
«Le Fric», a humorous performance... LOL!

«Le Fric», a humorous performance... LOL!

But why program a ’comedy« show on the Grand Scène at Paléo? Can anyone explain? Isn't that the point of the Montreux Comedy Festival, just a few miles away? And then, »humor«... I have the feeling that people around me laugh especially when there's a reference to local, Swiss culture. A joke about Mont-sur-Rolle and the audience roars, a bit of yodelling and they go into a trance!
Mauskovic dance band: a disco-truc band, but what else?

Mauskovic dance band: a disco-truc band, but what else?

The Mauskovic Dance Band is a group of five Dutch musicians. Led by Nicola Mauskovic, who defines his music as «a mix of disco, jazz and afro-beat played in a post-punk style», these «unschooled» musicians put on a wild show on the Détour stage on Wednesday, July 24. Beforehand, the drummer and composer, accompanied by a few beers, gave us some answers. Fragmented, just like their crazy music.
