Systemic racism« is rife in Switzerland. At least, that's the view of the Swiss Confederation, which has published a report on the subject. According to Olivier Delacrétaz, editor of La Nation, the effects of this postulate, which is not based on any evidence, could be counter-productive.
In March, the Swiss Federal Service for Combating Racism published a report postulating the existence of «systemic racism» in Switzerland. This expression refers to discrimination based on racial criteria that is so deeply rooted in a society that it is inscribed in its very «system». As such, they are, in a sense, invisible, and need to be exposed. The federal survey in question is based on more than 300 scientific studies and the testimonies of specialists in the field.
