Le Regard Libre N° 64 - Jonas Follonier

Quentin Tarantino special report

Mathieu Turi is a French filmmaker. His first feature film, Hostile, was released in 2017. A success. The first review was published on our site. His next film, Méandre, will be released in early 2021. The director is welcomed in our columns to talk about his experience on the set of Inglourious Basterds.

Le Regard Libre: How did your collaboration with Tarantino come about?

Mathieu Turi: In 2008, I was still in my third year at the ESRA film school in Paris, and the director called me up and asked me if I wanted to work on a French TV series as an intern. Unfortunately, for personal reasons, I couldn't, so I placed a buddy. This same buddy was called back a few months later to work on a film as an intern.
