The new anti-racist dogmas

A cornerstone of “woke” activism, a new form of anti-racism imported from the United States has emerged in Europe. Despite appearances, it no longer has much in common with the traditional, universalist anti-racism that preceded it.

Racism as an ideology based on the existence of a hierarchy of «human races» has been largely—if not entirely—discredited in the West, scientifically, morally, and politically. Yet a new form of anti-racism, having arrived from across the Atlantic, denounces a pervasive racism that is at work everywhere but visible nowhere—and all the more dangerous because Western societies believe they have rid themselves of it.
