Marriage = love?

The question doesn't even arise. Long gone are the days of arranged and forced marriages. Today, it's obvious: people marry for love, with love, in love. Although «love» seems a big word when you consider that almost half of all marriages don't wait «until death do us part»; divorce takes care of that beforehand. In reality, people now marry under a different impulse: love. This has given rise to a very particular form of reassurance for the spouses: folklore, for both civil and religious unions.

One, two, three, and the bouquet is thrown. The bride’s best friends rush to pick up even just a few petals. One day, they, too, will be pure princesses, dressed in white, with a prince who remains charming even with a paunch. So much joy, so much laughter, so many tears…
