Le Regard Libre arrives today Wednesday 1er September in the kiosks in French-speaking Switzerland. The magazine wants to give a boost to its commitment to culture and the debate of ideas. The aim? To stimulate reflection in this part of the country. Even if critical thinking is deemed politically incorrect.

Created in 2014, Le Regard Libre, This 68-page monthly is supported by some twenty young volunteer writers from all over French-speaking Switzerland, as well as columnists such as the reporter Sophie Woeldgen or the author Quentin Mouron. This team is characterized by a shared desire to supplement the magma of information with the added value of reflection. As a pluralist, the magazine's line is open and open-minded.

«At a time when a lack of curiosity is observed in our society, whose different components have difficulty in listening to and understanding each other, Le Regard Libre wishes to contribute to the diversity of opinions and to democratic life».», says the 25-year-old journalist Jonas Follonier, editor-in-chief and founder of the magazine. According to the former President of the Confederation Pascal Couchepin, «by rejecting dogmas of all kinds, this magazine defends the idea of freedom of thought and is a major player on the French-speaking intellectual scene».».

A medium for intellectual fashions

The watchwords of this editorial UFO? Beyond the flow of news, the need for analysis. Faced with the repetition of the same subjects, the importance of the original. Against the temptation of conventional opinions, the value of originality. Not forgetting humor and aesthetics: the contributors to Regard Libre «trace out liberated texts and open up wide spaces towards the energy and strength of youth».», says author Fabienne Héritier.
