Michel Perruchoud frequently drives through the old town of Sion, and has an idea: to virtually recreate the ramparts and gates that once protected it. What would Sedunum look like today if these medieval constructions had survived? This is the question answered by his personal album Les portes de Sion, which I was lucky enough to leaf through. A sketch of the project of a man who is not a historian by profession, but who has chosen historical reconstruction as his therapy.
