It's well known that the European Union subcontracts the management of the migratory crisis in the Mediterranean to the tune of billions. Following similar agreements with Tunisia, Mauritania and Egypt, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced on May 2 in Beirut a one-billion-euro aid package to support Lebanon's «socio-economic stability».
