At the «Coin des trois pays»
Basel, «coin des trois pay» © Bernard Léchot for Le Regard Libre
Basel's «Dreiländereck» is an astonishing place. Here, the eye takes in the Rhine banks of Switzerland, France and Germany, underlined by the «Passerelle des Trois Pays», while, opposite the discreet «Port of Switzerland», a few tourists immortalize themselves in the shadow of an improbable, slightly sadistic spire. Barely further on, the docks suddenly give Basel the appearance of a maritime city.
