Rémy and Mélanie are neighbors in Paris. But that doesn't mean they know each other: in this big city, everyone goes about their business without a care in the world. Their main activity is their metro-work-sleep routine. And in their lives, in the midst of two million inhabitants, they feel alone.

Paradoxically, the more resources and opportunities people have to communicate, the less they bother to really look at one another and talk to one another. Following *L’Auberge espagnole* (2002) and *Les Poupées russes* (2005), Cédric Klapisch explores this phenomenon and, in *Deux moi*, analyzes the loneliness of people in our age of social media and overcrowded cities. He does so with great flair, class, and restraint, despite a script that drags a bit—much like the emotional distance between our protagonists.
