In the previous issue's readers« mail, Miss Febe Tognina developed a response to an article against inclusive writing that I wrote some time ago. I'd be delighted to honor Regard Libre's motto - »For culture and the debate of ideas" - by defending my position below.

Miss Tognina offered us an argument that we've already come across in various university brochures. Faced with my aesthetic argument, it was argued that the eye and the hand acclimatize very well to seeing and writing all those little dots («étudiants.e.s», even «étudiants.e.x.s.»), those redundant («étudiantes et étudiants») and sought-after formulas (le corps estudiantin); in short, that all embarrassment eventually disappears and all that's needed is a little effort.
