It has now been nine years since Fraissinet made a name for himself in the French-language music scene with his album *Courants d’Air*. A 2008 winner of the Centre de la Chanson award, he went on to rack up one award after another, culminating in the 2011 Prix Charles Cros for his second album, *Les Métamorphoses*. After major international tours and various projects in the music world, the Franco-Swiss artist is releasing a new album at the very start of this year that marks a turning point in his career. We spoke with this fascinating singer on January 25 in Lausanne.

Jonas Follonier: Dear Nicolas Fraissinet, could you start by telling us how you began your musical career? Who believed in you?
