Theodor Wildt is a skilled excursionist, a studious prose writer and a brilliant camera operator, sharing textual and pictorial fragments of his work with Regard Libre readers.
As I wandered through the existential meanderings of Nuithonie, I often found myself looking back on the path I had taken with respect and gratitude. Who were its initiators? How many had trodden it ahead of me, and how many would follow in my footsteps? By avoiding the pitfalls scattered across the terrain, the footpath finds its usefulness in the fact that it enables us to evolve through it in a relationship of convenience and efficiency; and its origin in the fact that a large number of walkers agreed on this fact to institute it step by step. In this respect, an imperfect itinerary can quickly be supplemented by the introduction of a few detours or shortcuts that the user can choose to consider.
