I wanted to follow in the footsteps of this absolute masterpiece by Sergio Leone. The «Sweetwater» farm was waiting for me in the Tabernas desert in Andalusia. A little further west, if I looked hard enough, I came across the small abandoned station of La Calahorra-Ferreira, where Claudia Cardinale used to get off... And much further west, on the other side of the Atlantic, a stone's throw from Monument Valley, facing the ruins of the Arch, Ennio Morricone's music spun the silence of the desert. Emotion
