When fear of science crystallizes in art

Art and science are a long-standing couple, and their relationship is one of mutual enrichment. After the fascination of artists with electricity and waves in the 19th century, it was the turn of nuclear power to become the object of their preoccupation after the Second World War. Looking back at the tumultuous relationship between art and science in the twentieth century, against a sky full of mushroom clouds, gives us some perspective on the fear of nuclear weapons, so sadly relevant today.
